GOSLING TROPHY COMPETITION
Last Tuesday evening (February 28th) was The Malcolm Gosling Trophy competition at Normanton Camera Club. The competition is for a ‘set’ or ’panel’ of three related prints and the relationship may be according to the author’s design (i.e., by subject matter, shapes, colour etc.) Sue Oates won the competition with a clear lead gaining full points for her still life set of three pink flowers in different positions. The Judge thought the set was exceptional. Judith Macbeth came second with three prints of para-triathlete Bret Crossley, followed by Neville Nicholson’s photographs of visitors at a Hockney exhibition. Chris Gowland, a new club member, won the beginners with an excellent set of portraits of dogs.
